INTRODUCTION

Guangzhou Government Procurement Center was first established in 1999 and integrated into Guangzhou Public Resources Trading Center in 2013. Seizing the opportunity of reform, Guangzhou Exchange Group pioneered a nationwide management model where a state-owned enterprise operates a centralized government procurement institution, and re-established Guangzhou Government Procurement Center on May 20, 2022. As a registered public institution under Guangzhou Exchange Group, it is the only centralized procurement agency in Guangzhou, undertaking centralized procurement agency services for government procurement at both municipal and district levels in Guangzhou, as well as market-oriented decentralized procurement business. Adhering to the public welfare and functional orientation and upholding the new development concept, Guangzhou Government Procurement Center has actively played its role in supporting major and key projects in Guangzhou, public welfare and people's livelihood, public security, classified procurement, emergency procurement, and the construction of a "Digital Government". It is committed to building a leading intelligent procurement ecosystem in China, equipped with professional teams for procurement document compilation, efficient teams for project evaluation organization, and strict quality management teams. It provides professional, intelligent, efficient, and convenient procurement services for more than 6,000 purchasers, including government departments, public institutions, hospitals, and schools, promoting the efficiency and fairness of public procurement. Its practices were selected into the "2022 National Excellent Cases of Public Procurement" organized by the Public Procurement Branch of China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing. Currently, the platform has 26,000 active suppliers. Guangzhou Government Procurement Center strives to build a unified, standardized, open, transparent, efficient, and orderly competitive procurement platform, setting a new national benchmark for centralized procurement institutions. As the chairman unit of Guangzhou Government Procurement Association, it actively plays a leading role in the industry, strengthens industry self-discipline, focuses on improving the professionalization and standardization of the industry, and promotes the formation of an industrial force that improves the quality and efficiency of fiscal resource allocation.
